  • New Ward Boundaries For Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi

    On December 7, 2020, Edmonton City Council approved the new Indigenous names and boundaries for municipal wards. Effective October 18, 2021, what was formerly known as Ward 10 (and a bit of Ward 9) is now called Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi. The communities within the ward have changed, so be sure to double check what ward you will be in this coming election.

    We would like to respectfully acknowledge that Amiskwaciywâskahikan (Edmonton), meaning Beaver Hill House, is located on Treaty 6 territory. We are grateful to be on Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Métis, Tsuu T’ina, Blackfoot, and Nakota Sioux territory, specifically the ancestral space of the Papaschase Cree.
